DIGIBIOVET – Digital Ecosystems in Biodiversity: Enhancing Vocational Education and VET Quality Assurance
We are happy to introduce DIGIBIOVET, an Erasmus+ Capacity Building project dedicated to strengthening biodiversity conservation through digital and green vocational education and training.
Across many regions in Sub-Saharan Africa, biodiversity is under increasing pressure due to deforestation, habitat loss, and unsustainable resource use. At the same time, communities need sustainable economic opportunities and skills that align with the green transition.
DIGIBIOVET brings together 9 partner organizations from Europe and Africa (Mozambique, Nigeria, Madagascar, Malawi, Ethiopia, Bulgaria, Spain, Italy and Greece) to address these challenges by developing innovative training solutions for biodiversity conservation and sustainable natural resource management.
Through the project, we will:
- Develop DIGI-BIO work-based learning curricula focused on biodiversity and sustainable resource management
- Strengthen digital and e-teaching competences for TVET trainers
- Launch an inclusive Learning Management System (LMS) to support digital learning
- Promote collaboration between VET institutions, universities, NGOs, and the private sector
- Introduce micro-credentials to recognize new green and digital skills
The partnership includes
- TDM 2000 (Italy) as project coordinator,
- Associação de Educação de Jovens e Adultos de Nampula – ASEJANA (Mozambique),
- European Knowledge Spot – EKS (Greece),
- Obafemi Awolowo University – OAU (Nigeria),
- INTERPROJECTS EOOD (Bulgaria),
- DomSpain Consulting SL (Spain),
- Université d’Antsiranana – UNA (Madagascar),
- Wolaita Sodo University – WSU (Ethiopia), and
- Youth and Community Development Organisation – YouthCode (Malawi).
Together, these organisations form a multidisciplinary consortium working to modernize vocational education systems and strengthen biodiversity-related skills development.

Stay tuned as we share updates, insights, and opportunities from the project over the coming months!
